Independence Day Celebration.
Lord’s Academy celebrated the 75th Independence Day of our nation with great pride and enthusiasm. The celebration was conducted through the virtual platform. Rev.Fr. Biju Puthussery, the Manager, hoisted the national flag. Rev. Fr. Jose Kidangan, the principal, in his address urged the students to honour the nation and strive to take it to greater heights in every field. Rev. Fr. Anjo Puthur, the Administrator along with the students paid a musical tribute to the freedom fighters. The patriotic songs sung by the students set the ambience for the celebration and stirred the patriotic fervour in everyone. An online video, of patriotic songs and the Independence Day speeches delivered by the students was published in the group.
Onam Celebration
Onam is a huge celebration for all the Malayalees. Due to the covid-19 pandemic Onam celebration had taken place virtually in Lord’s Academy.There was live pookalam competition for grade (1 to 12) . Students along with the parents had taken part in it and a lot of appreciation was received from everywhere for the same.There was other competitions like Onapattu,Tele film, Malayali Manga and Malayali Sreeman.
Principal along with the management went and distributed gift to the winners in their houses. Live YouTube Onam programs of Lord’s Academy of 1 ½ hour was streaming in YouTube .Revenue Minister Advocate Rajan, MLA K.K.Ramachandran, Thrissur Jilla Panchayat member V.S Prince , film actor Devan felicitated the occasion.
Retreat programme
As a part of inculcating the Spiritual needs of students a three day retreat through YouTube live was conducted under the able guidance of Manager Fr.Biju Pudussery CMI and team for the Lord’s family .The focus of the retreat was to allow students to reflect on their lives look forward to the many decisions they will make in the upcoming months to repair their relationships and to ask forgiveness. it was also a time to deepen their prayer life and experience new forms praying .It was also a time to look inward and decide the type of adult wish to become.
Teachers Day Celebrations
The parents are the first teachers and teachers are the second parents who shape the future of students. So to show the gratitude towards the teachers for the efforts and guidance as a mentor, students feel that it is an opportunity to express their love towards teachers, so they celebrate teachers day every year.
This year also for making the teachers feel special the students of Lords Academy celebrated the teachers day virtually. The principal Fr. Jose Kidangan CMI applauded all the teachers for all the meticulous work they were doing in the institution. The cultural program was unfolded with the melodious singing of the 10th grade students Johan and Christina. The lyrics of this song was composed by one of our teachers Mrs. Jeena Mathew. Fr. Anjo Puthur also dedicated a beautiful song to all the teachers of Lords Academy.
The entire program was applauded by everyone and will always remain a beautiful memory in the hearts of one and all.
